This easy chocolate mousse recipe is seriously so simple! It does involve some cooling time, but it is quick and easy, and you really can’t go wrong with chocolate. Because it is a cool treat, it is perfect to be enjoyed in the summer heat. Okay, let’s get started!
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Chocolate Mousse:
- 1 ½ cups of marshmallows
- 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- ½ cup milk
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
Whipped Cream:
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- ¼ cup sugar
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Start by finely chopping your semi-sweet chocolate. I prefer to put mine in the ninja and give it a few pulses instead of cutting them myself.
2. Heat marshmallows, chocolate and milk in a saucepan over medium low heat, stirring constantly, until marshmallows and chocolate are melted. Cool completely.
3. Beat heavy cream in a large bowl until stiff peaks form.
4. Fold cooled chocolate mixture in whipped cream until well mixed.
5. Spoon or pipe into your desired serving dishes.
6. Let set in a refrigerator for approximately 3 hours.
I hope you enjoy this pretty little chocolate mousse. You deserve it! And, as always, don’t hesitate to send in some pictures of your own!
