While I was working on this blog post, I found myself feeling inspired even more as I sifted through various looks from some of my favorite style icons. I have narrowed it down to just a few in order to create a more readable post. I hope you enjoy them, and that this post will help spark some new creativity in you as it has done for me.
1. STEVIE NICKS
Stevie Nicks is the first icon that occurred to me when I got the request to write this post. She is one of my all-time favorite musicians, fashion icons, and artists. I love her free-spirited energy. I remember seeing her in concert, and just thinking that she was the most magical person I had ever seen. Her free-spirited personality really shows through in her bohemian style, flowy sleeves, and unconventional patterns. That is something that I am always really drawn to.
2. FLORENCE WELCH
I love Florence Welch both for her music and her bold wardrobe choices. I love her eccentric fabrics, layers, and sense of design even in her home. Her eccentricity is something that makes her a very interesting artist. Her style has a wonderful balance between bold and whimsical that is very unique to her.
3. LAUREN CONRAD
Lauren Conrad has a very feminine style that includes a lot of cozy textures, floral patterns, and an often-pastel color palette. Although pastels are not always my favorite, I love so many of her floral patterns. I don’t really choose floral dresses that have really fake looking flowers on them, so I love that Lauren Conrad has a lot of floral patterns that look more realistic. I also love some of her effortless designs like her denim shirt (that I wear WAY too much). The laid-back pieces make is easy to find an outfit in the morning that are both simple and cute. She is also great at adding little touches to her clothing designs that I love.
3. KATE HUDSON
Finally, I love Kate Hudson. She is probably my favorite actress. I have always loved her hair texture, and it is probably why I’ve kept mine the same for so long (seriously, her hair in the photos below looks gorgeous!). I especially love her red carpet looks, but I am mostly going to focus on her styles that have affected my wardrobe more. I love some of her retro looks in movies that she did when she was young. I also love how she can make such laid-back looks have a more glamorous feel.
