This week, I pulled out my winter wreath tutorial from last December! I wrote this post before the blog had even been created! This wreath is just in time for Christmas, and will easily help your front door look shiny and welcoming throughout this holiday season. Imagine some white twinkly lights against the sparkly branches! I’m super excited to put mine out on my apartment door! Let’s get started!
First, it is important to note that you do not have to use the same materials as I did. You can switch out materials for colors you prefer and add other things that inspire you! For my wreath, I started with one specific glittery branch from Joann’s. When I was shopping, I saw it and fell in LOVE. Then, I picked everything else to match the glittery branch.
I got all my materials from Joann’s. I went with a grapevine wreath because they are my favorite, and when I found some pinecones that matched my glittery stems, I knew they just had to be put on my wreath! Then I picked a thin branch with red berries on it because I needed something to add a pinch of color.
Again, being able to create whatever kind of wreath you want is part of the fun, so don’t feel like you have to use the exact materials listed below.

From here, it is so simple to get started! I took some regular craft scissors and pulled apart the branches, cutting them away from one another; I would recommend wire cutters for the more difficult branches. Each stem has its own individual wire, so they are easy to separate. Once you cut them to the length you prefer, you are ready to move onto the next step.
Next, I took the individual pieces, and began to weave them through my wreath (just as I have done in my fall and spring wreath tutorials). I chose to keep my glittery branches on the bottom toward the left, and spread the red branches all over throughout wreath. You are welcome to distribute branches wherever you like!
Finally, after much rearranging, I successfully weaved all my branches into the grapevine wreath. I finished it off by adding my two separate clusters of glittery pinecones, and ta-dah! You’re finished! Now you can hang it up and hopefully smile a little bit every time you see it! Don’t hesitate to send in some pictures of your own beautiful wreaths because I would love to see them!
